I don’t know about you guys, but this week was even more bananas for me than usual. I mean I had to write this in my calendar so I wouldn’t forget my plans for tonight.
I should have also written, “Eat French Fries”. I have big plans, OK.
Anyway, by the time this post goes live, I should be
in my pajamas, drinking a beer living up my Friday.
Speaking of things that are exciting. I had been hunting down the Wet N’ Wild Limited Edition Fall Matte Lipsticks, and I found them in a random Fergie display at my local Walgreens! I know I mentioned two of them in my Fall Trends post, but I would be remiss if I didn’t share more of the Wet N’ Wild Fall lipsticks. Because if you hadn’t heard, they are the bomb.com. Yes. I went there.
I also have the perfect seasonal beer for you. I’ve heard this rumor that in some parts of the country it’s actually feeling cooler? Since it’s still 358598 degrees where I live, I’m sticking with my Back to School Happy Hour theme for one more week. Maybe I will feel more fallish when I can actually walk into work without breaking a sweat.
Anyway let’s kick off Happy Hour!
Sooooo this post was supposed to be for next week and accidentally published yesterday. This is what happens when you have 13 hour work days. (ProTip: I found out L’Oreal’s Infallible Eyeshadow lasts at least 14 hours, which is both impressive and terrifying.) Anyway, I decided I might as well let this post be free, and just write a new one for next week. So without further ado:
Welcome to a new and randomly occurring feature, called Dupe or No Dupe!
In this series, we’re going to breakdown some internet rumors and myths regarding dupes!
On today’s show: Urban Decay’s Naked Palette VS. WetnWild’s Walking on Eggshells!
How are you today? I have class tonight, so I’m dreaming of glittery eye shadows as a light at the end of a long day tunnel. We’re talking the 13 hour kind of long day. (Not going to lie, I might be dreaming of a Shipyard pumpkin beer, too.)
So today I have a quickie post here of my latest ColourPop Shadow haul, including some of their delightful, new fall shades. (If you want to see my thoughts on their original line and concept, look here.)
These are $5 each and cruelty-free, so you know you want to check them out.
Disclaimer: I feel like I’ve talked about this company so much lately, I should mention that I am NOT affiliated or compensated by them in anyway. I bought all of these bad boys with my poor grad school funds, and I’m just a super fan.
Although it’s a million degrees outside where I live, I love fall colors. Grad school and work are keeping me super busy so I feel like I need to start preparing my fall stash, or it’s all going to pass me by.
I was particularly inspired by Self Magazine’s Fresh for Fall Trends in their September issue. However, I wasn’t feeling like paying $34 for each makeup item.
And you know how I roll. So here are some of my favorite fall trends, on a budget!
So, I got it in my head that I could make a video about my August Beauty Favorites Under $10. (Plus 3 beers!)
“Everyone does it.” I thought, “It will be eassssssyyyy.”
Things fell apart quickly. Let’s just say that. (Hence why this post is coming out at 11pm. Sorry!)
However, I HATE wasting things, including time, so I have to at least share my attempts at a video. And you can admire my carpet.
Keep reading for my first and last video ever!
It all went downhill from here. #BloggerFail
How was your Labor Day? Are you recovering today? Don’t worry, I’ve got just the thing for you: beautiful eye shadows. (And if that doesn’t cut it, drink lots of water and eat a banana. Cures anything.)
I can’t believe I’ve been sitting on my review of Glamour Doll Eyes’ Deadly Hollywood Collection, because it’s become one of my favorite things lately. Like sometimes you can catch me petting the eye shadows and whispering to them lovingly. (That’s normal, right?)
Anyway, this was my first purchase from Glamour Doll Eyes, and it always be special in my heart. But so will the other 146 purchases I plan to make from them.
What did I get? Read on!
Happy Labor Day!
I hope that you are enjoying a lovely 3 day weekend and not writing a thesis. (Don’t worry I’m not. Heyyyyyy procrastination!)
I’ve spent this lovely weekend: 1.) At my local beer pub that I love. Duh. 2)Catching brunch with a friend from out of state 3.) Hanging out with my in-laws 4.) Reviewing products. I had like 5 boxes show up at once which terrified Mr. Danger. (He them immediately lost interest and wandered off to brew beer so, NBD.)
I’ve decided Wantable’s Accessories Box is my new favorite subscription box. My September Accessories Box arrived today and they knocked it out of the park for me again.
If you’re new to Wanable, I think they are great for the
lazy busy woman, who doesn’t have time to shop or keep up with new trends. You take a quiz and then accessories show up at your door. It doesn’t get any easier than that. Subscriptions are $36 a month, but so far mine have been well worth the amount.
Check out my review and let me know if Wantable fits into your beer budget.
Disclosure: I don’t get paid to do any of these reviews. These products are bought with my sad grad school funds and opinions are my own!
