Hey friends!
I am having a fantastic Friday! By the time this posts publishes I will be thoroughly enjoying Wedding Weekend Palooza Part II. This wedding is for Mr. Danger’s cousin, so it’s been great to catch up and see some of his family. And enjoy copious amounts of food and beverages.
Speaking of beverages-it’s Happy Hour! Today I’m starting my Happy Hour Pumpkinfest! For the next several weeks I’ll be featuring my favorite pumpkin beers. There’s a lot to choose from out there, so I’m going to help you narrow it down to the best.
As for makeup, I’ll be focusing on some cheap fall favorites. For today I’m featuring the perfect eyeliner for creating a beautiful fall eye look.
So let’s start Happy Hour!
Hello, delicious.
Makeup Product of the Week: NYC Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil, $3.
I am always on the search for the perfect eyeliner, and I have to say this is probably my favorite pencil eye liner. It’s smooth, so it glides on the my lash lines nicely without any skipping and makes for easy application. It’s pigmented, but it doesn’t transfer on my watery eyes. And it really lasts forever.
It’s also $3, so really you have no excuse to not try them.
These eye liners are also very pigmented. I can easily do a subtle eye in one swipe, or if I want something more dramatic, I can build up the color. All in all, these guys have definitely been my Holy Grail eye liner for fall looks.
Beer of the Week: Alaskan Brewing CompanyPumpkin Porter
I’ve actually only tried a few of Alaskan Brewing Companies beers, so I’m not that familiar with them, However, when I saw they had a Pumpkin Porter, I decided to take a chance.
Good choice, me!
This beer has an amazing pumpkin flavor. It’s not too over powering, but it’s this wonderful sweet, cinnamon pumpkin flavor-almost like pumpkin pie beer. I also picked up on a bit of caramel, which only added to the pumpkin pie experience.
I do wish it had a bit of a creamier texture, but the flavor was so yummy, I didn’t really mind. This has an ABV of 7.0% so try not to get too excited and chug it, definitely sip and savor the flavor.
Because this beer has such a pumpkin pie flavor, I almost suggest it as a dessert beer. However, it might also pair well with traditional fall foods like sweet potatoes, roasted meats, and hey-pumpkin pie.
So that’s Happy Hour for this week. I hope you all enjoy your weekends and do something fun! I have grand plans to get the bartenders at the wedding to make me a French 75. I think it can be done.
I’m also going to attempt to curl my hair. Pray for me.
I’ll be back Sunday with an announcement, it’s a little good, bad, confusing, and anti-climatic. So look forward (maybe?) to that.
Questions:
-Do you like Pumpkin beer?
-What’s your Holy Grail eye liner?
-What is your beverage of choice at weddings?
Love,
Rebs!
I’m not a huge beer person, but I can get behind pumpkin ones every fall. This porter sounds delicious. As for eyeliner, I find myself reaching for Urban Decay 24/7 in Demolition on the daily. It’s a simple, dark brown liner (nothing too exciting) but it goes on smoothly and doesn’t budge all day.
Pumpkin beer is so good, and there are so many different kinds!
I like the Urban Decay 24/7, I think it goes on very smooth. I have had issues with the Peversion color transferring, but I might need to splurge some day and try Demolition!
