I hope you all had a great weekend! I had a fun time seeing some out of state friends who were visiting for the holidays. Many beers were given and received!
Today I’m all packed up and on a boat with my family! We’re going on a short trip to celebrate my dad’s 60th birthday.
I’ll be taking Dec. 29- January 4th off from the blog to enjoy the vacation. It’s been a super crazy 6 months for me, and I’m very excited for some rest and relaxation.
Rest and relaxation.
I hope you all have a fabulous New Year’s and you celebrate it in your favorite way, with your favorite people. I’ll be back in 2015, with more craft beer, indie beauty and budget buys!
Until then friends!
Love and best wishes for a Happy New Year,
I know, just when you thought I couldn’t get any more stylish and sophisticated.
Let’s be upfront right now. My title is a lie. I have all of the Hellmouth Collection in samples except one scent.
Never Cub Scout. I will not buy a Riley scent. Also it’s vanilla, which I’m sure is lovely, but my skin will be projecting vanilla for days to come if I wear it.
Now that I’ve been transparent with you, we can discuss the rest of these scents!
(If you want to read reviews about the first part of this collection, which includes a robot perfume, check out my post on Part 1.)
I am having the best day. Mr. Danger and I watched Guardians of the Galaxy in our pajamas and had pizza for breakfast. Now our out-of-town friends are coming over tonight for more pizza and delicious beverages. (This is really all it takes to please me.)
We’ll be grabbing a few more beers to serve tonight, (which I’m sure I’ll be posting on Instagram, heyyyyooo @BeautyOnABeerBudget), but today’s Happy Hour features a tasty Winter one to get you through the weekend.
Plus, if you are anything like me, you got a bunch of makeup for Christmas. (You may or may not have also gotten a ton of glitter, that could just be me.) If you’re looking for a fabulous primer for your new eye shadows, I’ve got a great drugstore one for you!
So let’s start Happy Hour!
I hope you’ve had a fantastic holiday! Mr. Danger and I had two awesome days with both sides of our families. We are super lucky to have families who we love and enjoy spending time with, and a good time was had by all!
For the final Indie Advent Calender day, Mr. Danger threw a bunch of bath products in a box, and it was such a nice little haul with Haus of Gloi, sixteen92, and Solstice Scents products. I am a very spoiled lady!
Let’s check it out!
Just popping in to say Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
My favorite part of today is being with people I love, and I hope your day has been filled with laughs, love, and maybe even a delicious beer.
I’ll be back tomorrow with the final post in the indie advent calendar, but for today I am living it up with my lovely family, Mr. Danger, and our puppy.
How I feel after Christmas.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, friends!
I hope you’re all having a wonderful day, and if you celebrate Christmas, a wonderful Christmas Eve!
Today’s EOTD is the look I’ve been wearing to holiday parties this year. I’ve been in the mood for a bold lip, so I’ve tried to come up with a pretty, but subtle, sparkly look. (Although tonight I’ll probably be wearing green glitter eye shadow. Because I can.)
The BOTD is a hard-to-find, but delicious Gingerbread Stout that’s perfect for Christmas. It was worth the beer hunt!
So check out the EOTD/BOTD!
I’m just going to be upfront, this is pretty much a teaser post. Please use your holiday spirit to forgive me!
We celebrate Christmas in the Danger Household, and we celebrate Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas Day with Mr. Danger’s family. Because of this when I opened my Indie Advent Calendar box for today, it was pretty cool, but I don’t have time to review it all until we get home from all the holiday fun in a few days!
However, I wanted to keep the calendar going, so I’m going to share what was in the box! I also sneaked a peek at tomorrow’s box, and it’s a nice haul, so stick around for the final day!
I’m a little late but I have the Glamour Doll Eyes’ OTM up for review today! This costs about $8 a month, if you can catch one! (It’s pretty intense trying to get a sub.)
It’s Christmas Eve-Eve! Usually, we get together with friends on this day, but it’s pretty rainy and gross outside, so I think Mr. Danger and I will be staying in. Perhaps even cleaning our house that hasn’t been the same since thesis deadlines/the flu-plague overtook our lives.
I don’t know about you guys, but often I just put on lipstick to wear around the house. Even if I spend all day cleaning today, I’ll probably put on some lipstick. In my opinion, life is too short not to wear lipstick whenever you feel like it.
Thankfully my Indie Advent Calendar treat for today is Performance Colors’ Paprika lipstick, a lovely warm red shade. I’m wearing it right now to do laundry, and it’s lovely.
Check it out below!
I got to sleep in late today and it was awesommeeeeee. Probably the best thing about being on vacation, in my opinion. I am not a morning person AT ALL.
In other news, we’re almost done with the Indie Advent Calendar! These last few days have been pretty and awesome and today I found my Holy Grail Rose Gold Eyeshadow. The one I have been searching for since March. It’s Hello Waffle’s 23, and it’s perfect.
