Happy Hour: 6 NYX High Voltage Lipsticks and Three Philosophers Quad

Hey friends….

Shame face. My Happy Hour post is coming out on Saturday, instead of it’s typical Friday slot. I can explain, I promise. This little thing called grad school, working full time, and life got in the way. BOO.

In fact, posting for the next week and half will probably be a little spotty. I’ve got midterm projects due and apparently my professors will not accept blog posts for credit. I don’t know why I didn’t get my Master’s in Blogging about Craft Beer and Indie Beauty. I’m sure that exists at an online school somewhere.

Anyway, despite being a unreliable blogger for the next week or so, I do have a Happy Hour post today! And it’s a real good one: We have the last installment of Beers I Love, featuring Three Philopopher’s Belgian Quad AND 6 of the new NYX High Voltage Lipsticks. Which you must go out and buy now. Purchase lipstick now, ask questions later. Go do it. For real, I’ll still be here.

EOTD/BOTD: Aromaleigh’s Luperci

I guess this is more like EOTN? Or EOthenextD? Either way, I wanted to do more one more look with the Aromaleigh Feast of Lupercal Collection before February ended. This collection’s been getting some rotation in my daily life, so I made sure to get another picture in of one of my favorite shades!

And also the beer for today, Shiner’s Birthday Beer Stout, completely took me by surprise. I actually did a beer double take. Yes, that happens.

Subscription Sunday: Visage Box by Hello Waffle-February 2015

Hey friends!

I think everyone and their mom has already posted their review of Hello Waffle’s February Visage Box, but I finally have mine ready! (My mom did not do a review, though.)

I’ve been playing around with this box for about two weeks now, and I still haven’t been able max it out yet. I’ve got about two more looks I want to do with the products, but I only have one face. UGH. Why won’t Mr. Danger let me put makeup on him?

What I’m saying is it was another good month with Hello Waffle’s Visage box!

Subscription Saturday: Fortune Cookie Soap Box- Spring 2015

Hey friends!

So the Fortune Cookie Soap Box isn’t a makeup subscription, but it is a subscription that I didn’t get a chance to squeeze in this week. And that totally counts for Subscription Saturday! (Sometimes I forget that I work full time and go to grad school, and blog posts just don’t come out in the timely manner I want. BOOOO real life!)

This is my third Fortune Cookie Soap Box, and I was loving the Alice in Wonderland theme for Spring. The minute I opened the box, it was floral scents and pops of color in my face! I was excited!

Happy Hour: 5 NYX Intense Butter Lip Glosses and Cappuccino Stout!

Hey friends!

How did your week go? Mine was full of naps. Yep.

For Happy Hour this week, I’m sharing 5 of NYX’s new Intense Butter Lipglosses! I’ve had my eye on these babies from the moment I saw their vivid swatches on Instagram. It was love at first sight. And I’m happy to report, our love story is going strong, because they’re a pretty awesome, cheap product.

And for my third Beer I Love, I’ve got, yes, another dark beer. But it’s Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout. It tastes like coffee! You’ll try it and forgive me for featuring another dark beer. (Which, I promise won’t happen next week.)

EOTD/BOTD: Heavy Breathing Cat

Hey friends!

I don’t have class tonight! Whooooooooot. I’ll be celebrating at Alamo Drafthouse with some coworkers who have dragged me into seeing a certain movie. (Hint: It’s not Taken 3).

Anyway. Today I’ve got one of my favorite Hello Waffle eye shadows of all time. (I feel like I say this all the time about Hello Waffle. But this time, it’s really my favorite….until she creates my next new favorite. And then I’ll have a new EOTD post to do. The struggle.)

The shadow is Heavy Breathing Cat, from the 1,000 Likes Collection. The name itself should be reason to love it. But. Wait until you see this guy.

The BOTD is Helios Farmhouse Ale (formerly V Saison by Victory Brewing Company). I picked this beer up on a whim when the bestie was in town, not expecting it to be much, and I have been pleasantly surprised by it!

Ten Three Labs: Project Leda Collection

Hey friends!

Look at me branching out of my comfort zone! I’m trying out another indie company that’s new to me, Ten Three Labs!

I feel so bold.

I’ve been hearing good things about Ten Three Labs, so when I found out she was doing an Orphan Black collection, I WAS ON IT.

(PS: If you are not watching Orphan Black, YOU SHOULD, because it is an amazing and addictive show. Tatiana Maslany deserves all the Grammys, Emmys, Nobel Peace Prizes, whatever, because she is amazing in her 5+ roles.)

So the makeup. This collection featured 6 perfumes, 3 smudge sticks, and a salve stick that was a Gift With Purchase. I figured it would be a good introduction to Ten Three Labs different products.

Subscription Saturday: Glamour Doll Eyes’ OTM- February 2015

Hey friends!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Have I told you lately that I love you? You guys are the reason I blog! (Besides the glitter.) Thank you for being such awesome and supportive readers! And if you’re just joining me recently, heyooo and welcome! (I like exclamation points. You will learn that soon.)

Anyways, I got my February Glamour Doll Eyes’ OTM a few days ago, and the theme, “Any Excuse for Chocolate” fits perfectly with today. (You guys, I’ve had so much chocolate today. For breakfast and lunch.)

Mr. Danger and I are keeping it low key today, but tomorrow we’re going to a Valentine’s Beer and Cheese Pairing at a local brewery. I’ll most likely be rocking this month’s OTM, “Not to Be Truffled With”.

Happy Hour: 3 Drugstore Neutral Palettes and Karbach’s Imperial Porter

Hey friends.

No exclamation marks today. I am dragggginnnggg. It’s been one of those weeks. A flat tire, broken appliances, 14 hour days kinda week. Oy.

But the good news is that it’s Friday and I can sleep in tomorrow! (Although most likely I’ll wake up early and swatch makeup because I am a weirdo.)

Thankfully today’s Happy Hour post is filled with beer and makeup I love. I have my 3 favorite drugstore neutral palettes and one of my favorite Imperial Porters, Karbach’s Hellfighter.
