I feel like I’ve been spending these past few months honing my sense of smell for my first Darling Clandestine order. I’ve heard this indie perfume company offers amazing, but interesting scents. It was a challenge I had to accept. Also there’s sharks. So I was down.
After months of strenuous nose training, (insert sniffing montage), I was ready. And the day finally came to place my first order, with the release of Darling Clandestine’s Valentine’s Day perfumes.
So what did I think of my first DC order? Let’s put on “Eye of the Tiger” and find out!
Last week I wrote about Aromaleigh’s Feast of Lupercal Collection, and I thought it was quite rude that I didn’t provide you with a look using those shadows. I mean you probably left that post thinking, “But what would I do with those eye shadows? Why wouldn’t Rebs help me?”
I’m here for you, friends.
Today’s EOTD is just one of the many looks you can create with the Feast of Lupercal Collection. (I say many because I have accepted Mr. Danger’s challenge to do a week’s worth of looks. And I am competitive. I will NOT FAIL.) And the Beer of the Day, Firestone Walker’s Double Barrel Ale, will go great with any of them!
PS: I feel like I’ve been talking about Aromaleigh a lot lately, so I just want to mention that I don’t have any affiliation with them. Every product I’ve mentioned has been with my own funds. I’ve just been digging them lately! 🙂
Please enjoy your beer and makeup responsibly.
Well, after a fun weekend with my best friends, it’s back to work/grad school for me.
I’ve got a super busy week coming up with lots of events and projects, so I needed a bit of sparkle this morning to put some pep in my step.
Thankfully my Wantable Accessories Box arrived last week with a few options!
Read on to see what I got this month!
How’s your weekend going? The best friend and I are having lots of fun. And French Fries. We won’t stop eating them.
I am very glad she was in town this weekend when I’ve been playing around with my February Aromaleigh Ephemera Box because she has been like my Color Cheerleader. I was worried about the beautiful, bright pops of color in this box being too much, (as I’m a neutrals gal), but she’s been there for me with, “GIRL, THAT BLUE IS GOOD.” “YEAH, THAT GREEN IS AWESOME!”
So I’m feeling pretty good about my makeup colors skills, and about this months Ephemera box!
Guess what!? It’s Friday! And my best friend is in town!!!!
Ahhhhhh, happiest of weekends!
My best friend and I have been besties since I was born, (She’s older by 9 months, and always had more hair.) so there will be much laughter and beer drinking this weekend. Mr. Danger already has the taps set up for her arrival.
Anyways, the weekend of the BFF kicks off Beers I ♡ Month! This month will be featuring some of my favorite beers, and some Valentine’s Day inspired makeup choices. Because hearts and pink and chocolate. Yeah, Valentine’s Day theme!
So let’s start Happy Hour!
Please remember to enjoy your beer and makeup responsibly.
I tried to get this post out super quickly, because Haus of Gloi is doing their Valentine’s restock of perfume oils, pumpkin butters, and maybe whipped soaps, this weekend on Feb. 8th. (Or that’s what I heard on the internet streets. even if this fact is incorrect, I have a feeling the restock will be soon since they’re trying to get ready for Spring.)
Hopefully, my little review of Haus of Gloi’s Valentine’s Day collection can help you out if you’re interested in purchasing.
Welllllll, if you read this blog with any sort of consistency, (and even if you just randomly stumbled on it), I think we can all agree: I don’t need anymore eye shadow.
But did we all see the previews for Aromaleigh’s Feast of Lupercal Collection? Because if we all did, then we can all agree that I needed those shadows. I needed them! It was like my Holy Grail Collection! We are talking gorgeous pinks, purples, and neutrals. This is what Rebs’ dreams are made of!
I compromised and bought deluxe sample sizes. TREAT YO SELF.
Was it worth breaking my low buy? (LOL, low buy. LOL.) Read on and find out!
Where I live, our Winter is an emotional roller coaster. One hour it’s in the 40’s, then by midday it’s 76 degrees outside. Then it’s raining and icing, then it’s foggy, then it’s a beautiful day, then it’s a hurricane. I don’t know. You wear lots of layers and hope for the best.
What I’m saying here is that since I don’t have the typical Winter climate or experience, I was really excited to try Solstice Scents’ Woodland Collection. First, I love their wood notes. Second, I planned to pretend I lived in a snowy, magical forest! Third, I love Solstice Scents. They have my heart. And my money.
So I grabbed a sample pack of the Woodlands Collection and a full size of Spellbound Woods, a scent they were discontinuing.
Was it a magical forest wonderland of smells? Read on!
