Hey friends!
Happy Easter, Passover, or random Spring Day! (Or Fall if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere? I think I got everyone now.) I hope you’re enjoying your Sunday, in whatever way today means to you!
In perfect timing news, I’ve got my Aromaleigh Ephemera Box to share with you today! The theme for this month was the ancient Roman Spring holiday Floralia, (I forgot to include that above-Happy Floralia!), and the colors for this month are absolutely perfect for a beautiful Spring day.
Check it out!
Technical Stuff:
This subscription is about $18 a month and so far we’ve been receiving at least 4 products, plus samples. (Although they aren’t always promised, they’re more of a happy surprise.). At the moment you have to put your name on a waiting list to be able to get a slot in the subscription, as spaces are very limited.
However, there are limited quantities of January and February Ephemera overstocks on sale now at the Aromaleigh website! So you do have a chance to grab any singles that caught your eye! March overstocks will be released in May, and April’s in June.
Good Stuff: The theme this month was the ancient Roman festival Floralia, celebrating the goddess Flora. You can read more about that on the very helpful info card:
And the colors we got this month are right up my alley. I was pretty much swooning:
Locus of Desire-A soft coral peach frost with golden shimmer. Also makes a sweet cheek color.
This is a beautiful, glowing peach color. It’s a softer color over regular primer, and the shimmer really stands out over the Glitter Fix, but both ways of wearing it are gorgeous. This shadow was also so easy to apply, no patchiness here.
Metamorphose-A midtone mauve with buff tones, and green/chartreuse interference highlights. A great all over lid shade or foil this color for duochrome effect.
This is a duochrome after my own heart. Over regular primer it’s a lovely sparkly purple-mauve. But over Glitter Fix that green shimmer highlight really comes out. I think both ways are pretty and I’m going to have to figure out some looks so I can try both!
Vernal Roses- A muted, mostly matte mauved rose with delicate copper shimmer. Multipurpose this shade-it’s lovely patted on over your favorite lipbam or gloss.
This is a very soft, pink blush. From the way the powder looks, I was expecting it to be extremely pigmented, but it’s a perfect amount of pink. I love me some indie blushes, but they can be tricky to use if you are heavy-handed like me. But this is just the right amount of color on my cheeks. I think this will be a great blush for the Spring.
Realm of Flora-A pale creamy peach with violet highlights. You can wear this as a highlighter, a finishing powder, or an eyeshadow.
This is a subtle, peachy highlight color. It may be a bit too creamy pale for me to use as a highlight on my skin, but I love the idea of using it as a finishing powder. I’m always a fan of multi-tasking products!
Bonus: Glamour Doll Eyes-Floralia Cream Shadow
I love GDE cream shadows and this one is a very feminine coral pink. These have great lasting power and are easy to apply. I was so excited to get this sample!
Look:
I went with a pretty tame look today because I’m at my parent’s house for Easter. I used Metamorphose on my lid, Locus of Desire in the crease and Realm of Flora on the brow. For my face I used Vernal Roses on my cheeks and highlighted with Realm of Flora. I also used of Realm of Flora as a finishing powder which was soooo pretty. Finally I used the GDE Floralia as a lipstick. I was pretty pleased with the feminine glowy look I came out with.
Bonus Sneak Peaks!
La Plus Heureuse-Sample from next month’s box!
This shade is killing me. I absolutely love the deep purple with gold sparkles. I think I might actually recommend wearing this shadow over some sort of Glitter Primer, because look at the bottom half of that swatch! UGH, glitter love overload! I can’t wear eye shadows like this much in my real life, (boo real life!) but by May, I will figure out how to wear it! Maybe even for my birthday!
Anthousai- Sample from the Spring Greek nymph collection
These bonus swatches are really a hit for me this month! I’ve been looking for a soft pastel green eye shadow for Spring, and it found me!
My picture just doesn’t do this shade justice. Over UDPP it’s a shimmery, pastel green with a bit of purple sparkle, and over the Glitter Fix that purple glitter really comes out. I love the combo of purple and green so for me, this is a fabulous take on that Spring pastel green. I’ll definitely be grabbing this when the Collection gets released!
Overall:
It’s official. This is my favorite Ephemera Box yet. (I feel like I said this last month, so props to Aromaleigh for consistently creating a good box, and getting better each month!) I personally love colors like Locus of Desire and Metamorphose, so that alone sold it to me. The formula on all these shadows was also amazing. Every shadow went on creamy smooth and was very easy to work with. The highlighter and blush are also products that will easily work into my rotation.
Finally, the bonus samples were awesome! I can’t wait until next month and the Spring Nymph Collection! That was some smart marketing, because I am totally sold.
Okay, I’m off to go wear all of the glitter. Have a fabulous Sunday, friends!

Questions of the Day:
-What did you think of this month’s box?
-Are you celebrating anything special today? Floralia?
