Hope your Wednesday finds you well! Things in my little space of the world are bananas as always, but they are also very good.
Today’s topic is not exactly exciting, but it’s fairly essential in the world of makeup. That’s right, I’m here today to speak to you about makeup brushes. (I assume this is not super exciting, but there could be a person out there who adores collecting makeup brushes-who am I to judge.)
However we all need makeup brushes, so I’m here to help you find the best cheap ones. Also I have inserted the free stock photo to below to make this post more glamorous.

Now on to the business.
Sooooo this post was supposed to be for next week and accidentally published yesterday. This is what happens when you have 13 hour work days. (ProTip: I found out L’Oreal’s Infallible Eyeshadow lasts at least 14 hours, which is both impressive and terrifying.) Anyway, I decided I might as well let this post be free, and just write a new one for next week. So without further ado:
Welcome to a new and randomly occurring feature, called Dupe or No Dupe!
In this series, we’re going to breakdown some internet rumors and myths regarding dupes!
On today’s show: Urban Decay’s Naked Palette VS. WetnWild’s Walking on Eggshells!
I hope your week is going well! The topic for this post has been especially relevant to me this week as I adjust to 5:30 mornings again.
We’ve all been there
some of us daily: The morning that something goes wrong and we’re in a rush to get out the door.
In these times of extreme panic and coffee chugging, it’s good to have what I call the 5 Minute Face* up your sleeve: the makeup you can throw on while eating a granola bar and finding a shoe. (That was an exaggeration, if you can really multitask like this, I am impressed.)
It’s not a full face of makeup, but it’s done in 5 minutes, and you look awake and put together. Today’s products to help you get ready in a flash are all under $10, so that should add some pep in your step this morning!
*TBH I have a 15 Minute Face. I don’t move fast in the mornings. At all.
Hello beauties! I hope you all had a great weekend. I was over the river and through the woods, visiting Mr. Danger’s family this weekend. I think they enjoyed the blush swatches on my arm
and didn’t think I was strange at all. I take that back, they know me too well. Anyway, I’m back with my July Favorites!
Today is the grand finale of my favorite drugstore lip products! I adore NYX lip products and narrowed it down to my 2 absolute favorites: the Butter Lipstick line and the Butter Lipgloss line. These babies will cost you $5.99 and $4.99 respectively, not bad if you are a makeup
addict enthusiast like me.
Yesterday the internet told me it was apparently National Lipstick Day, (this is everyday for me). Perfect timing for another of my favorite drugstore lip products!
Unless you’ve been living under a rock or you are a graduate student, you’ve heard about Revlon’s Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. (Henceforth known as Balm Stains, because I’m too lazy to type that ridiculous name over and over again).
The hype is accurate, these are a great lip product for someone on a beer budget. Really, anyone can enjoy these guys, they’re quite lovable.
PS: I buy mine at Target where I can usually get them for $6.99. At CVS or Walgreens they’re usually $8.99, which I give the side eye.
The cheap theme of the week is Favorite Drugstore Lip Products! We’re going to take a look at 3 of my favorite lip products, in 4 versatile colors. I’ll also share some tips on how to score these products for cheap.
Hello beauties! I’m concluding my exploration of the Wet N Wild eye shadows today with the 8 pan palettes. Hold on to your lipstick, because we’re looking at 24 different shades today!
The 8 pan palette rainbow.
The Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadows are big in the internet world. And although I think some makeup trends are more hyped up than they’re really worth, (SPOILER: I’m working on that post right now), I actually do really like these eyeshadows.
As a full time professional in a humanities field, and a part time grad student, I’ve learned a lot about being frugal and saving money. Other than my house, I am currently debt free. I live pretty cheaply, but I do often have some beauty splurges. The following tips are how I make it all work.
