How’s your week treating you? I haven’t gotten to do an EOTD/ BOTD post in awhile because I’ve been choosing sleep over makeup. You probably would to if 5am was your wake up call. I’ve also been living out of pressed palettes because of the ease of application, so I haven’t really been doing anything exciting with my makeup.
Except on the weekends, when I bust out all my indies and pigments and bold lip colors and go bananas! This past weekend, I finally sat down with my Hello Waffle September Visage Box and pulled together a totally appropriate work look for Fall, using all the warm colors in this lovely box.
And I had to pair this Fall look with a Fall beer. (Because pairing beer and makeup is normal in my world). So I cracked open my Rogue Pumpkin Patch Ale for a delighful fall inspired combo!
So apparently I started this post a long time ago, and then completely forgot to finish it when my internship and new job started. Which means this post is unfortunately out of season, but hey- it’s still 100 degrees where I live,so I think I’ll cut myself some slack.
Anyway for my first EOTD/BOTD in a lonnngggg time, I have a very summery Kona Brewing Company’s Big Wave and a super easy look using ColourPop’s Metamorphosis Set.
Oy. Tuesdays and Thursdays are bringing me down. Internship all day and class until 10pm. I’m trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel, because I’m almost done with grad school. Does the light have beer? I hope so. This post has beer, at least. We can start there, with a review of Brideport’s Bear Hug Cherry Chocolate Stout.
I also have an EOTD/BOTD of an easy cheesy work look you can do when you just want to sleep or possibly never wear makeup again. (It’s not been my top priority lately, TBH.) I used Hello Waffle’s Mendelssohn, but any pretty light pink shadow will do.
So let’s check it out. (See the period there? I’m too tired for exclamation points.)
How’s it going? I got out of my class last night at 10pm, which I am pretty sure is illegal, and I am tired!
Thankfully, I have all of the glitter. All of it. Because I am the proud owner of ColourPop’s Nillionaire from their Summer Collection. I bought a bunch of items from their Summer launch that I’ll be sharing this Friday for Happy Hour, but today we put all the focus on Nillonaire, because it’s goregeoussssss. And to make it even more summery around here, I’ve got Good Juju from Left Hand Brewing Company, a really nice ginger ale. (The kind for grownups. Sorry, kids.)
How’s your week going? Do you need a duochrome in your life? I thought so.
Today’s EOTD/BOTD features one of my favorite Shiro eye shadows, I Loved a Maid, and the Blue Moon Horchata Ale that I’ve been yearningggggg for weeks to try now. So it’s very interesting, is what I’m saying.
Sorry if posts have been coming out a bit slower these past few days. I’ve been working on a few things behind the scenes and I’m slowly but surely catching up.
In other news: We’re halfway through the week! I needed glitter in my life today, so I thought I would revisit an old favorite for today’s EOTD: Colourpop’s So Quiche! (And by old I mean I bought this shade like 9 months ago. But still.)
For the Beer of the Day, I decided to switch it up. I’ve been drinking a lot of light, warm weather beers lately, but I felt it was time to get back to one of my favorites: a coffee porter, and Ballast Point’s Victory at Sea seemed perfect for this cause.
How’s your Wednesday? I’m done with class for two weeks, which is perfect timing because I have so much stuff to share with you on the blog. (Also I have books, TV shows, movies, and people to catch up with. It’s like I get my life back for two weeks and I HAVE TO LIVE IT UP.)
Anyway, I’m wrapping up my adventures with Dawn Eyes Cosmetics this week with a lovely purple eye and scoping out a budget Barley Wine by Laguintas!
It’s the end of the semester for me, and I’m going out of town this weekend, and ha, I still work full time, and I just bought a car, so this is me:
I can’t tell if it’s good or bad that I strongly identify with Leslie Knope.
So before I fall asleep on the keyboard, let’s check out this week’s Eye of the Day and Beer of the Day! I’m featuring a lovely metallic color from Dawn Eyes and a beer from a brewery that I just got to visit, Real Ale Brewing Company’s Grand Cru.
I’m still working through my new Dawn Eyes Cosmetics order, and I’ve got a gorgeous Springy shade to share with you. It’s a lazy girl Spring #EOTD that requires next to no blending or special skills. Perfect for when you would rather be boating or laying in grass or whatever Spring activity you prefer.
Also I have Chimay Grande Reserve to review. Which honestly, is more of me waxing poetic and gushing love, than a true review. Because it’s Chimay Grande Reserve.
