EOTD/BOTD: Hello Waffle’s September Visage and Rogue’s Pumpkin Patch Ale

Hey friends!

How’s your week treating you? I haven’t gotten to do an EOTD/ BOTD post in awhile because I’ve been choosing sleep over makeup. You probably would to if 5am was your wake up call. I’ve also been living out of pressed palettes because of the ease of application, so I haven’t really been doing anything exciting with my makeup.

Except on the weekends, when I bust out all my indies and pigments and bold lip colors and go bananas! This past weekend, I finally sat down with my Hello Waffle September Visage Box and pulled together a totally appropriate work look for Fall, using all the warm colors in this lovely box.

And I had to pair this Fall look with a Fall beer. (Because pairing beer and makeup is normal in my world). So I cracked open my Rogue Pumpkin Patch Ale for a delighful fall inspired combo!

Happy Hour: Sunsets and Seas’ Fall Collection and Karbachtoberfest

Hey friends!

Sorry I disappeared for a bit! Apparently adjusting to my new found dream job has taken more time than I thought. Mostly in the sense that my free time usually involves me laying and staring a wall. My brain is broken, you guys!

Seriously, I’ve had the worst writer’s block lately. Which is hysterical because I write reviews, you would think this would not happen. But I take all my pictures and then I find myself struggling to find words to describe items. I just keep thinking, “Good, this is good. This is okay. This is meh.” None of these thoughts are super helpful in reviewing beer and makeup.

So I decided to try and break my writer’s block by posting anyway. If my descriptions are more lackluster than usual, forgive me, as I fight through this verbally barren time in my life.

And today’s Happy Hour is, of course, a word heavy post because I decided to switch it up and review perfumes and bath bombs for Happy Hour! I tried out Sunset and Seas, Hello Waffle’s new beauty and bath line, and I wanted to share! She had Fall Scents! Which go great with Octoberfest beers like Karbachtoberfest!I had to do it!

Hey friends!

How’s your Saturday?

I’m working on a paper right now, but I knew I had to get this post up. I’ve seriously been finishing it for about two weeks, and for various reasons it never got completed. BUT. I do not give up! So here I am today with a very belated review of Hello Waffle’s June Visage Box. Better late than never. Sure!

The difficulty of getting this post finished made me reflect on the way I’ve been writing some of these reviews, and I may be changing the way I do them soon. I’m open to your thoughts, so more musings on this near the end of the post.

Hey friends!

Sorry for my absence lately, you’ll never believe this, but I’ve been kinda busy. I started summer school this week, celebrated my birthday, started my summer internship, and I’m wrapping up my old job and moving into my new job!!

Due to this general wackiness, I’ve got one more post planned for tomorrow and then I’ll be taking a week off from blogging to catch my breath and get settled into all the new things I’ve got starting up this summer.

Hey friends!

I think everyone and their mom has already posted their review of Hello Waffle’s February Visage Box, but I finally have mine ready! (My mom did not do a review, though.)

I’ve been playing around with this box for about two weeks now, and I still haven’t been able max it out yet. I’ve got about two more looks I want to do with the products, but I only have one face. UGH. Why won’t Mr. Danger let me put makeup on him?

What I’m saying is it was another good month with Hello Waffle’s Visage box!

EOTD/BOTD: Heavy Breathing Cat

Hey friends!

I don’t have class tonight! Whooooooooot. I’ll be celebrating at Alamo Drafthouse with some coworkers who have dragged me into seeing a certain movie. (Hint: It’s not Taken 3).

Anyway. Today I’ve got one of my favorite Hello Waffle eye shadows of all time. (I feel like I say this all the time about Hello Waffle. But this time, it’s really my favorite….until she creates my next new favorite. And then I’ll have a new EOTD post to do. The struggle.)

The shadow is Heavy Breathing Cat, from the 1,000 Likes Collection. The name itself should be reason to love it. But. Wait until you see this guy.

The BOTD is Helios Farmhouse Ale (formerly V Saison by Victory Brewing Company). I picked this beer up on a whim when the bestie was in town, not expecting it to be much, and I have been pleasantly surprised by it!

Subscription Sunday: Hello Waffle’s Visage Box-January 2015

Hey friends!

How’s your weekend going?

Mine has been super productive. And also I accidentally ate like a pound of fro-yo last night. So I would say mine has been good, too.

I think Winter is coming to an end where I live, (we only really have two seasons: Hot and Cold/Rainy, so this is not surprising). But this weekend the weather has been gorgeous, which I interpret as “TAKE ALL THE PICTURES WITH THE AMAZING LIGHTING.” Blog writing changes your brain, yo.

So I used the gorgeous weather to focus on some gorgeous makeup, Hello Waffle’s January Visage Box. Out of all my indie subscriptions, this one continues to lean towards the dreamy, whimsical, and romantic colors, which I personally love.
