Sixteen92: Spring and General Catalogue Review

Hey friends!

How was your weekend? I had a random trip with Mr. Danger and my bestie to run a race and then attend an anniversary party at a brewery. It was good times!

But back today. Today, I bring you: The Post That Should Not Be

Dramatically titled this because I actually never meant to review any of the Sixteen92 scents I have for you today. I randomly accumulated these samples after several impulse orders, and then realized I had enough to constitute reviewing. So here I am, adding to the indie perfume literature.

I’ve got some scents from Sixteen 92’s Spring Collection and a few from Sixteen 92’s General Catalogue, so check out my impulse buys and let me know what you think!

Haus of Gloi: Spring 2015 Review

Hey friends!

I’m a little late to the Haus of Gloi Spring Review game, but I have good reason! I got these last week, and I really wanted to give my perfumes about a week to settle, especially after a few went bonkers when I first tried them, (which you’ll hear more in the reviews).

But it’s a week later, and I’m here with my well informed review. Just in time for the Haus of Gloi Spring restock on April 5th!

Check out what I thought!

Darling Clandestine: Spring and Grab Bag Review Review

Hey friends!

How’s it going for you? I picked a bad week to stop drinking coffee. (Just kidding that would never happen. I meant to say I picked a bad week to stop abusing coffee.) It’s just been a very long and tiring week.

Good thing perfumes always make me feel better. (Specifically ones that smell like coffee, thank you Circassian, thank you.)

I’ve got a review of some of Darling Clandestine’s Spring scents and then a review of some of her Classic Scents from my Grab Bag purchase.

As a newbie to DC, I had a lot of fun with my little haul, so read on!

Ten Three Labs: Phantasmagoria Box-Projection One

Hey friends!

How’s your weekend been?

For the first time in my life, I was treated to a viewing of The Room. Written, directed, produced, released by (and starring!) Tommy Wiseau. Wow. I am pretty much an expert in bad movies, and this might be the worst movie I have ever seen. I loved it so much. If you have seen this horrific film, please share your experience with me in the comments!

Anyway. The Phantasmagoria Box.

Ok. So this technically is not a subscription. It’s more of mystery box that Ten Three Labs will be releasing every few months or so. BUT. You could pretend subscribe? Like tell yourself, I’m going to buy this every quarter, I am subscribed to buying this.

Yeah, I’m stretching it here. But I really wanted to share this little Mystery Box with you today, so let’s just go with it.

Ten Three Labs: Project Leda Collection

Hey friends!

Look at me branching out of my comfort zone! I’m trying out another indie company that’s new to me, Ten Three Labs!

I feel so bold.

I’ve been hearing good things about Ten Three Labs, so when I found out she was doing an Orphan Black collection, I WAS ON IT.

(PS: If you are not watching Orphan Black, YOU SHOULD, because it is an amazing and addictive show. Tatiana Maslany deserves all the Grammys, Emmys, Nobel Peace Prizes, whatever, because she is amazing in her 5+ roles.)

So the makeup. This collection featured 6 perfumes, 3 smudge sticks, and a salve stick that was a Gift With Purchase. I figured it would be a good introduction to Ten Three Labs different products.

See what I thought below!

Darling Clandestine’s Valentine’s Day Release

Hey friends!

I feel like I’ve been spending these past few months honing my sense of smell for my first Darling Clandestine order. I’ve heard this indie perfume company offers amazing, but interesting scents. It was a challenge I had to accept. Also there’s sharks. So I was down.

After months of strenuous nose training, (insert sniffing montage), I was ready. And the day finally came to place my first order, with the release of Darling Clandestine’s Valentine’s Day perfumes.

So what did I think of my first DC order? Let’s put on “Eye of the Tiger” and find out!

Haus of Gloi: Valentine’s Collection 2015

Hey friends!

I tried to get this post out super quickly, because Haus of Gloi is doing their Valentine’s restock of perfume oils, pumpkin butters, and maybe whipped soaps, this weekend on Feb. 8th. (Or that’s what I heard on the internet streets. even if this fact is incorrect, I have a feeling the restock will be soon since they’re trying to get ready for Spring.)

Hopefully, my little review of Haus of Gloi’s Valentine’s Day collection can help you out if you’re interested in purchasing.

Solstice Scents’ Woodland Collection

Hey friends!

Where I live, our Winter is an emotional roller coaster. One hour it’s in the 40’s, then by midday it’s 76 degrees outside. Then it’s raining and icing, then it’s foggy, then it’s a beautiful day, then it’s a hurricane. I don’t know. You wear lots of layers and hope for the best.

What I’m saying here is that since I don’t have the typical Winter climate or experience, I was really excited to try Solstice Scents’ Woodland Collection. First, I love their wood notes. Second, I planned to pretend I lived in a snowy, magical forest! Third, I love Solstice Scents. They have my heart. And my money.

So I grabbed a sample pack of the Woodlands Collection and a full size of Spellbound Woods, a scent they were discontinuing.

Was it a magical forest wonderland of smells? Read on!

Happy Hour: January Favorites

Hey friends!

This post is coming out a little bit later than usual due to technical difficulties. And by technical difficulties I mean, I am sleepy. I’ve been really busy lately and it came down to “Sleep? Or blog?” Sleep:1 Blogging:140

Anyway, I’m here now with my January Favorites post! I haven’t done one of these in awhile, and this is a sad thing because I have lots of favorite things, like Oprah. Except I don’t have a sticker yet. I should work on this…

Anyway for my favorite makeup (mostly indie this month-sorry, mainstream friends!), budget buys, and beers, check out this week’s Happy Hour!

And be sure to stick around for February because I’ll be starting a new Happy Hour theme: Beers I ♡. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, because that’s the way to my heart, friends.
