Notoriously Morbid’s Vanishing Cabinet: December 2014

Hey friends!

I think the best part of the holidays is a lot of my friends and family come back in town. Tonight, I’m leaving the house to see a friend who’s visiting and I am very excited! Naturally, my first thought was: But how will I do my eye makeup?

Perhaps, I shall pull from my December Vanishing Cabinet from Notoriously Morbid! This subscription is about $13 a month, and comes with several eye shadows and usually a blush or lip product. Each month there is a different theme, and this month we have Merry Monsters!

Happy Hour: Revlon Colorstay Foundation and Breckenridge Christmas Ale

Hey friends!

It’s Fridayyyyyy!

Today’s Happy Hour features my favorite drugstore foundation and foundation brush. Although I’ve been trying to move exclusively to cruelty-free makeup, I can’t quit Revlon’s Colorstay foundation. And I’m never quitting Real Techniques brushes, because they are a great bang for your buck.

For beer, we have one of my favorite Christmas Ales on the market. Is it sad that I love this time of year because holiday and winter beers are the best? I mean I enjoy it for other reasons, but this is really the best season for beer.

Indie Advent Calendar- Day 4: Performance Colors

Hey friends!

Today is my last day of class for the semester!!! (Technically it’s my last day of grad school, but since I’m taking more courses next semester for additional licensure, this part is not that exciting.)

Anyway, lip products are by far my favorite kind of makeup, which made Day 4 perfect for celebrating the end of grad school as I know it. It was also my first time to try Performance Colors’ lipsticks that I’ve heard so much about, and spoiler: worth the hype!

Happy Hour: Black Friday Beer and Colourpop’s Forget the Fruitcake

Hey friends!

Hope your Black Friday is treating you well! There are a lot of makeup sales going on right now, but so far I’m behaving myself. We’ll see how long my will power holds out.

In general, I’m not a big fan of Black Friday, (I hate crowds), but I am a fan of dark beers and lipstick.

So for Happy Hour today, I picked one of my all time favorite beers ever, which happens to be part of Southern Tier’s Blackwater series, their Creme Brulee Stout (get it? Blackwater? Black Friday? PS: I’m on a lot of medication right now for the rudest Sinus Infection ever, so excuse any weirdness).

I also finally got my hands on some Colourpop lipsticks. I’ve been eyeballing them for awhile, but I thought they were probably over-hyped. $5 for a long-lasting, pigmented lipstick just seemed to good to be true.

But I decided to just jump right in when I saw their holiday collection, Forget the Fruitcake. $30 for 6 lipsticks, and free shipping was just too nice to resist.

Glamour Doll Eyes: November OTM

Hey friends!

Well, I managed to get a Glamour Doll Eyes’ OTM box this month! It was an exciting day for me as these $8 subscriptions go like hot cakes each month. They’re usually released when I’m at work with the slowest internet connection known to man, (like really, really, really slow. I think I could actually hear the internet wheezing in pain), so it’s not everyday I succeed in this endeavor.

And I’m glad I did, because I adored this month’s OTM!

If you’re new to Glamour Doll Eyes their Color of the Month subscription is not necessarily reoccurring, but sold by the month. For example there were 12 month, 6 month, and 3 month subscriptions. At this point in the year there are only 1 month and 2 months, left. My internet only allowed me to get the 1 month, which means I’ll have to battle again in December if I want the OTM then. It’s intense, but worth it!

Happy Hour: Halloween Beauty and Beer

Hey friends!

Happy Halloween!

In case you haven’t notice, I kinda love holidays. Sometimes Mr. Danger and I make up our own because we feel like life is more fun when you have something to celebrate. That being said, there was no way I could NOT make this Happy Hour post Halloween themed.

Honestly, my Halloween costumes/plans are pretty lame this year. (Can you believe I’ve had very little time/money/graduation on my mind, and haven’t put much effort into costumes? Well, it’s true.) In the past I’ve had some good ones.

Happy Hour: NYC Eyeliner and Alaskan Pumpkin Porter

I am having a fantastic Friday! By the time this posts publishes I will be thoroughly enjoying Wedding Weekend Palooza Part II. This wedding is for Mr. Danger’s cousin, so it’s been great to catch up and see some of his family. And enjoy copious amounts of food and beverages.

Speaking of beverages-it’s Happy Hour! Today I’m starting my Happy Hour Pumpkinfest! For the next several weeks I’ll be featuring my favorite pumpkin beers. There’s a lot to choose from out there, so I’m going to help you narrow it down to the best.

Hey friends!

Hope your Wednesday finds you well! Things in my little space of the world are bananas as always, but they are also very good.
