Rainbow Honey Mystery Bag: October 2014

Hey friends!

Taking a little paper writing break here, because I had to share my Rainbow Honey Mystery Bag, (mini size, $12), from this month.

It was very good! It made me re-affirm that this is a subscription I will be keeping around. (Some have been on the chopping block as I start to save up money for Christmas gifts, but RH-you’re safe.)

Also as you guys know, I’ve kinda been in a grad school funk lately, so receiving a great package always lifts my mood. (So does buying lots of makeup-but I’m sticking to my budget!) And this Rainbow Honey delivery made me smile and sniff everything.

Okay, I will stop rambling, and share the goods:

Look, I'm not going to incriminate myself, but I may or may not have taken these pictures while testing out a pumpkin beer, which is why they are a bit haphazard. Sorry, (but only a little bit).

First of all, hello 2 full size products! (I guess the soap counts-so 3?) That’s pretty generous of RH, since I only get the mini bag for $12, and that’s how much these two full sizes cost together. Nice!

beer lighting, sorry.

Second, RH included a nice note discussing how they appreciate the feedback and suggestions of their customers. I appreciate this because I feel these past two bags have also tried to address some of the complaints/improvements that could be made. I like a company that is always trying to improve, so right on, RH!

All Your Base, Cafe Con Leche, and Zi

All Your Base, Cafe Con Leche, and Zi

I’ve only tried All Your Base once, and although it doesn’t seem to have the longevity of my Orly Rubber Bonder, it also doesn’t destroy my nails like the Orly base does. I will be keeping this my rotation, and it’s full size!

Cafe Con Leche- I haven’t gotten a shade like this yet from RH, so this is a nice surprise. This is a nice, subtle shimmery twist on a neutral color and I’ll definitely be wearing it this fall.

Zi- I was PUMPED to see a purple in the RH bag, because they are my fave and have been a rare unicorn in the mystery bags. Again, this glitter effect is subtle but pretty, I’m going to wear this next weekkkkk! It’s awesome for pre-Halloween fun.

I strangely enjoy painting nail swatches. I'm kinda weird.

Sweet November Roller Ball, Sweet November Shimmer Soap, and L'Orange Ganache Lip Balm

Sweet November Roller Ball, Sweet November Shimmer Soap, and L’Orange Ganache Lip Balm

Sweet November Roller Ball- This is a new scent for RH, and I have to give a disclaimer that I’ve gotten really spoiled by indie perfumes oils lately. That being said, this scent is a bit too vanilly for me. When I put it on it immediately smells like Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar, (which I used to wear ALL THE TIME when I was 13, so I’m a bit burnt out). It mellows out when it dries, but it’s definitely a vanilla scent. Not bad at all, but I will pass it on to someone who will give it a good home.

Sweet November Shimmer Soap- RH Soaps are super cute, and as usual I put this in my guest bathroom to try and pretend I am stylish and do things like buy decorative soaps.

L’Orange Ganache Lip Balm- Holy Cannoli, Batman! I really love RH’s lip balms, I think they are super moisturizing, and this is my new Holy Grail flavor. It smells like a orange doughnut on my lips, and that is all I want in my life. DONE.

Overall, this month was a great value with 2 full size products. I loved the nail colors, and I LOVED the lip balm. RH, you can definitely stick around!

Questions of the Day:
-What did you think of the the RH October Mystery Bag?
-What do you want your lips to smell like?
-What is your favorite nail polish base?

Love!
Rebs
