Hey friends!

This will be publishing a little late because someone had to take a nap.

And that someone is me. (I don’t have kids if that’s what you were thinking.)

It’s been one of those weeks. Not a bad week, just the kind of week where you spill coffee on your curtains, clean dog vomit out of your bed, and spill 32 ounces of water in your nightstand, kind of week. We’ve all been there. I think.

Anyway, my best friend is coming in town tonight so it will be all good in the neighborhood.

For this week’s Happy Hour, I wanted to share 7 of my favorite rose gold eye shadows that are all under $8! These shades range from copperish to pinky champagne, but they are all beautiful and cheap.

I’m also switching things up on you and sharing Mr. Danger’s favorite pumpkin beer! Don’t worry, he has good taste.

Makeup of the Week: Rose Gold Eye Shadows.

Maybelline Eye Studio Plush Silk in Copper Chic, $7.

This one is almost like a bonus. You get 4 eye shadows, and they are all pretty neutrals that really are silky to apply.

ColourPop Amaze and Sequin, $5 each.

If you haven’t tried ColourPop yet, you need to, and you will become addicted (you can find my thoughts on there shades here and here). Amaze and Sequin are glittery, pretty and fun.

My rose gold indies!

Shiro’s I Tried, $6- A true rose gold, easy to apply and pretty.

Glamour Doll Eyes’ Heedless Heart, $1.50-$6- This one is more of a pinky champagne, but it’s so lovely I had to include it.

 Hello Waffle’s Mendelssohn, $2-$6- This is my go-to shade lately and I always get compliments when I wear it. It’s a soft pinky chapmagne, shimmery, and just a lovely neutral.

NYX and L’Oreal

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Sparkle Nude, $5- Just to change up the application method, this is a light rose gold that you can apply on the gold.

L’Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in Amber Rush, $7- This is the color that started my rose gold obsession, and I’ve been looking everywhere (as seen above) to replicate it in cruelty-free form. I love the way this looks with my brown eyes and warm skin tone, (which doesn’t always play nice with rose golds) and again it’s easy to apply and I always get complimented when I wear it.

 

Beer of the Week: Dogfish Head in Punkin

I think the name of this beer is very cute, every though I’m not sure about that Gremlin thing on the label.

I’ve mentioned Dogfish Head before, they are definitely one of Mr. Danger’s favorite breweries, and this is his favorite pumpkin beer.

The beer has a nice pumpkin pie flavor, but I personally think it’s more subtle and comes out in the background notes. I taste the flavors of malt, nuttiness and brown sugar more than the pumpkin. It also has a smooth, smoky taste that I enjoy.

I think Punkin is pretty palatable and well balanced. It has an ABV of 7% and I think you could serve it with actual pumpkin pie and be in a pretty happy place. Or you could just drink it with great enthusiasm like Mr. Danger

That’s it friends! I’m putting some Clown Shoes’ Chocolate Sombrero in the fridge for my bestie, and putting on my reddest, brightest lipstick because it’s going to be a good weekend!
