Hey friends!
Today is my last day of class for the semester!!! (Technically it’s my last day of grad school, but since I’m taking more courses next semester for additional licensure, this part is not that exciting.)
Anyway, lip products are by far my favorite kind of makeup, which made Day 4 perfect for celebrating the end of grad school as I know it. It was also my first time to try Performance Colors’ lipsticks that I’ve heard so much about, and spoiler: worth the hype!
(Read more here, if you’re wondering what the indie advent calendar is all about.)
Day Four: Performance Colors’ Pink Choco Lipstick, $6 each, or 3 for $12.
Peformance Colors was a super fast order, I think it took about 3 days to process and then shipped in 2 days. I also got some samples in my order, so I was pretty pleased with the professionalism/customer service level.
Pink Choco Semi-Matte- Neutral brown pink
I picked this color because I always force myself to buy at least one shade I can wear to work, and I was trying to find a MLBB shade. This is just the tiniest too brown, and not enough pink, but it’s still a beautiful shade. It’s creamy, opaque, and easy to apply. It also lasted about 3-4 hours on me, even with drinking. For a semi-matte it was not drying at all, and very lightweight and comfortable to wear.
I loved the formula of this lipstick so much, I contacted Tiffany, the owner, about what lipstick shade might work for me as a MLBB shade. She quickly replied with several options that all look amazing, (Rumor, Innocent, Easy Street, and Rosewood, if anyone else has mauvey lip colors) and I’m planning to order some of these as my “YOU FINISHED YOUR THESIS” present.(I’ve had to bribe myself a lot to get through this last semester of grad school if you haven’t noticed.)
I can’t wait to try more of these lipsticks, totally worth the hype!
Questions of the Day:
-Have you ever tried Performance Colors?
-Do you buy work lipsticks or are you lucky enough to wear whatever you want?
I love your advent calendar series! I can’t wait to see the other posts 🙂 ❤
Thanks, I’m glad you’re enjoying it!
