Hey friends!
Hope your week is going well! It’s Wednesday, so that means if it’s not going well-you only have two days left! You can make it!
Anyway, I think I’m going to start posting more eye looks on my Instagram account, @BeautyOnABeerBudget, hollaaaa, but I am internet shy, so it’s going to take some courage on my part. (Really! I didn’t get a Twitter account until 2014, so I am an internet grandma, basically.)
Anyway for now, I definitely feel more comfortable sharing my eyeballs in this medium so it’s Eye of the Day/Beer of the Day!
In Technicolor today! With more chocolate beers!

Eye of the Day: Very Belated Christmas Look using Glamour Doll Eyes’ Corrode and Wet N Wild’s Comfort Zone 8 Pan Palette.
I wore this look a few weeks ago for Christmas, (paired with red lipstick, because it was the most wonderful time of the year and I do what I want.)
I decided to share it as this week’s Eye of the Day because I feel like the EOTDs needed some color! I am the Queen of Neutrals and Work Professional, and I’m still learning to bust out of my comfort zone with color, specifically greens and blues. Corrode is a beautiful green sparkly shade, and although it’s an eye-catching color I was pretty happy with the way this green turned out on me!
Next on the list of makeup to conquer: winged eyeliner!
Beer of the Day: Clown Shoes’ Chocolate Sombrero
Anytime I see things claiming to be “Mexican style chocolate” I run to them. You could probably sell my a Mexican style chocolate pizza and I would be down. Due to this love of adding cinnamon and spices to chocolate, I’ve been dying to try Chocolate Sombrero for a while.
While I think this is a perfectly tasting and creamy chocolate stout, I’m not picking up on any of those delicious, spicy flavors that I associate with “Mexican style chocolate.” The closest I could get to picking up anything other than chocolate milk stout taste in this beer was a faint roasted note at the end, like a hint of coffee and chocolate.
That’s not to say this beer is bad, again, I think it’s a nice chocolate stout, I just have others I prefer more in that style. Like Samuel Smith’s Organic Chocolate Stout. He’s my friend.
Overall, I would give this guy 3/5 stars.
Oh, and if you were wondering what the beer looked like poured? I gave Mr. Danger the job of photographing that and this is what he came up with:
Yeah… not my favorite picture. Thanks, Mr. Danger!
Questions of the Day:
-How do you feel about using color in your looks?
-Do you have any colors you feel more comfortable using? Or some you avoid altogether?
-Is your husband/partner/significant other mature? Mine is not.
Love,
Rebs!
