Hey friends!
I’ve got a different take on my EOTD post to share with you this week!
I recently picked up a few things from the Glamour Doll Eyes’ Anti-Valentine’s Day Collection. Since I didn’t grab too much, (in an attempt to stay somewhat on budget), I’ll be sharing a few of the items I bought in this EOTD post.
So it’s kinda like a mini-review and EOTD post, all rolled up into one! Check it out below!
Eye of the Day: Pornstache and *Snap* Fierce! Both of these shades are still available to purchase for $6 on the Glamour Doll Eyes website!
Pornstache-is a dark brown base with a blue to silver sheen and a subtle red and copper shimmer
l got a sample of this in my February OTM, and those sample baggies are a genius marketing strategy, because I knew I wanted Pornstache when the release went live. It’s a beautiful metallic grey with subtle shimmer. Although this comes out as a blue-grey, it leans a bit purple when mixed with the other shadows in the collection.
*Snap* Fierce!- a dusty lavender with a strong pink sheen and bright blue sparkle.
This Sophia’s color, (from Orange is the New Black), and I love her and I love purple, so of course I got this color. This is a very pretty light purple with blue glitter, and it really pops on my eyes. It’s a fun shadow, but I bet I can dress it down for work with some matte nudes and browns.
The Look:*Snap* Fierce on the inner corner of my eyelid, Pornstache on the outer corner, and blended up into the crease. Crease, brow, and transition colors are from the Wet N’ Wild Petal Pusher Palette. For a subtle eyeliner, I foiled Aromaleigh’s Trivia from the Lupercal Collection, (which I absolutely adore as an eyeliner. It’s a glittery black-purple and comes out so cool!)
I really loved the way this look came out, it practically glows on my eyes, and the shimmer is subtle enough that I can wear it to work.
Next Wednesday: I’ll share a look using The Accountant and Lesbian Request Denied.
Beer of the Day: Buffalo Bayou’s Figaro, Figaro, Figaro, FIIIGAAARO Quadruple Ale
Buffalo Bayou Brewery Says: Figs contribute a rich, round earthiness to the malt’s dark fruit & raisin flavors. This Belgian quad yeast strain embodies both spicy pepper and light fruit flavors.
Rebs’ Says: I was lucky to grab this guy on a whim. It’s a beautiful amber red color and it tastes like, well, figs? My first impressions were a glassy, sweet texture with a rooty aftertaste, kinda like a beet, but more subtle. I also taste some plums and a bit of apricot, and overall it’s really sweet and fruity, but not cloying. The name quad fits because this beer’s flavors work on four levels.
If you are lucky enough to find this elusive guy, handle with care. It’s 11.6% ABV, so I definitely recommend sipping it, preferably with a delicious smoky cheese.
Rebs’ Rating: 4.5/5
Questions of the Day:
-Did you grab anything from the Glamour Doll Eyes’ Anti-Vday Collection?
-Have you tried anything from Buffalo Bayou Brewing?
-Figs in beer? Yay or nay?
Love,
Rebs!
I feel like a stalker of you, only because you talk about my favorite things, beer and makeup (if you talked about fryo, I probably would try and track you down and demand friendship).
I also live in Houston, and love all the craft beer brews you suggest on here! Major props for that!
Keep up the blog posts, I really enjoy them.
Aw, thanks for the love! Your comment made my day. 🙂
I try to keep my craft beer recommendations national so anyone who reads the blog can enjoy them, but every now and then I have to show some love to the local breweries. Especially when they’re doing great stuff- like Figaro!
