We had some gorgeous weather last weekend, and I want to celebrate that Spring is here with a lighter beer. So for Happy Hour this week we have an awesome Saison from Clown Shoes, plus my favorite under eye concealer, (and great news it’s only $7!)

Makeup Product of the Week: Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, ($7).
Friends, for the longest time I have been on the hunt for the perfect under eye concealer. I never sleep. (This is bad, I do not recommend this life choice.) So I have dark circles and bags under my eyes constantly. I need an amazing concealer.
I’ve thrown done $$$ trying Benefit’s Erase Paste and Lemon-Aid. It Cosmetic’s Bye-Bye Under Eye Concealer. Tarte’s Creaseless Concealer. And everything in between. And nothing has really made me happy.
Except for the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. After trying all these expensive options, I’ve finally circled back to it as my favorite under eye concealer. I will give you a list to help you understand it’s magic:
Pros:
1. Does not crease or settle in fine lines
2. Wand is easy to use
3. Blends easily, smooth, not tacky
4. Decent coverage
5. CHEAP
Cons:
1. Only 6 shades available. Because you know, people only come in 6 shades I guess?
2. If you don’t close the wand until it clicks, it will slowly leak out and you will have concealer all over everything.
3. Not cruelty-free
I use Sand, which as you’ll see in my swatch is a little bit more yellow than my skin. (And darker than my pasty forearm, but not my face, sorry.) This works great for cancelling out the dark circles, though.
My forearm is pasty white. I promise this blends in on my face.
Anyway, it’s only $7, so if you try it and hate it, you are only out $7. (Or $4 if you are like me and you got it on sale, BOOM!)
Beer of the Week: Clown Shoes’ Date Night Saison
Full disclosure: I love a good Saison, it’s my favorite warm weather beer. That being said, I still think Clown Shoes made a really great beer here, despite my own Saison bias.
This has a well balanced citrus taste, not too peppery, or too tart. It’s crisp and refreshing with layers of fruityness and mild spice. Very light bodied and mild hops. This would be great to drink on a beautiful spring day. (Or when you’re pretending to have one.) It’s 7% ABV, and I’m a little lady, so it’s more of a sipping beer for me. But it’s so smooth and well crafted, that I have to be careful to savor it.
I would pair this beer with a picnic. Bring some sandwiches and dips, and enjoy this beer out in the sun.
This is pretty much what date night looks like in my house.

Beauty on a Beer Budget 
That beer looks great. Don’t think I’ll find it in Panama though. I’ll put it on my list to look out for when I travel. And thanks for the concealer advice. I never used concealer before, but now that I’m approaching 40 I think I better try it out!
Yes, unfortunately Clown Shoes only distributes in the US. But the concealer is definitely my favorite, hopefully you can try it!
