A while back Aromaleigh was having a giveaway of their upcoming “More Human Than Human” Collection, based on Blade Runner. I entered it, and I actually won the deluxe sample set! I was so excited! The only other time I have ever won a giveaway was when I was 6 and I won a Fievel Goes West VHS.
Yes, I won this. Be jealous.
Needless to say, winning this Aromaleigh Collection is wayyyyyy more exciting.
I originally wasn’t planning to purchase this collection because my eye shadow collection runneth over, but wow, the colors are gorgeous. If you’ve been on the fence about this set, you might want to check out these shadows.
And good news: for the next few days, this entire collection is on sale!
(And even though I won a giveaway, all of these opinions are my own. Including that Fievel Goes West is a very bizarre movie, but I enjoyed it when I was 6).
How’s your weekend been?
For the first time in my life, I was treated to a viewing of The Room. Written, directed, produced, released by (and starring!) Tommy Wiseau. Wow. I am pretty much an expert in bad movies, and this might be the worst movie I have ever seen. I loved it so much. If you have seen this horrific film, please share your experience with me in the comments!
Anyway. The Phantasmagoria Box.
Ok. So this technically is not a subscription. It’s more of mystery box that Ten Three Labs will be releasing every few months or so. BUT. You could pretend subscribe? Like tell yourself, I’m going to buy this every quarter, I am subscribed to buying this.
Yeah, I’m stretching it here. But I really wanted to share this little Mystery Box with you today, so let’s just go with it.
How’s your Saturday treating you? The sun came out where I live today, and I feel a million times happier. I missed you, sun!
Anyway, in other happy news, my Rainbow Honey Mini-Mystery Bag made an appearance this week! The theme this month was previews of upcoming collections, including their big La Patisserie Collection.
Check out what I thought!
We made it to Friday!
I am a bit sad because it means my grad school Spring Break is over, but also a bit joyous because it’s Happy Hour!
And today I have my new Holy Grail Finishing Powder to share with you, AND Voodoo Doughnut beer by Rogue. So it’s all too wonderful to be glum for long.
Check it out!
Disclaimer: Please use your beer and makeup responsibly.
I’ve got a different take on my EOTD post to share with you this week!
I recently picked up a few things from the Glamour Doll Eyes’ Anti-Valentine’s Day Collection. Since I didn’t grab too much, (in an attempt to stay somewhat on budget), I’ll be sharing a few of the items I bought in this EOTD post.
So it’s kinda like a mini-review and EOTD post, all rolled up into one! Check it out below!
I have a teeny, tiny post for you guys today. While it’s small, I really enjoyed Haus of Gloi’s Risque so much I felt I needed to share it, even though it’s flying solo from its pals in the Valentine’s Day collection.
See why I liked it below!
How are you on this disgustingly short Monday? (I’m not over DST yet, sorry.)
Today I have a special guest poster, one of my dearest friends, L. She offered to share her Stitch Fix review with me, and since I spend all my money on makeup and perfume instead of clothes, I thought this would be a great change of pace!
I myself have tried Stitch Fix a couple of times and found them to be hit or miss. If you get a good box, well, you saved time and effort shopping, and you probably got some nice items at a less expensive retail value. But if you get a box that’s not great, or just meh, you’re out $20. (And as a budget blogger and grad student, I feel for $20. I can do so much with $20.)
However, L, has had pretty good experiences with Stitch Fix, and I do envy her clothing from them. So she decided to roll the Stitch Fix dice again and she’s here today to share her box with us.
Check out what she got!
PS: Neither L or myself are affiliated with Stitch Fix, we are just ladies who like to receive things in the mail.
How’s your Sunday going? I’m not enjoying the jump ahead in Daylight Savings Time, so I’ve been protesting by taking a nap.
Today I’ve got my Aromaleigh March Ephemera Box to share with you! This has easily become one of my favorite subscriptions in the course of it’s first three months. I love the quality and color of the products we’ve been getting, and using them all in a look has been a fun little project for me.
This month’s Norse mythology themed box might be my favorite so far, Check it out below!
I’ve missed you so! How have you been?! Anything exciting happening in your life or the internet? I heard about a dress, but that’s about it. (Grad school turns you into a hermit.)
I finally got through my slightly hellish week of projects and midterms, and I’m feeling pretty good about life! This morning, I finally got to swatch some eye shadow, and let me tell you, putting tape on my skin has never been more satisfying. (TBH, I guess this is not hard to achieve.)
Anyway, while I get caught up with all the lovely pretties coming your way on the blog this week, I’ve got my February Favorites! You know, on March 7th. Not belated or anything.
PS: Did I tell you I missed you all?!
I’m too pleased with myself for making this graphic. Every time I see it, I giggle and think, “Like Oprah.”
I’ve got one grad school project done, only 3493498 more to go!
I’m taking a quick break from projects to share my review of Notoriously Morbid’s February 2015 Vanishing Cabinet! The theme this month was All The Men I Can’t Have: British Edition, and I can use some pretty right about now!
How did they know Tom Hardy is my favorite?
