Hey friends!
How’s it going? If you’re like me, you are wrapping up a long week and very excited about the weekend. And you are probably covered in glitter. If you are like me.
If you are trying to figure out what to drink or what makeup to wear on this holiday weekend (just pretend I didn’t write “holiday”, if you aren’t American), I have just the thing! SanTan’s Mr. Pineapple Ale and some of my favorite e.l.f. Summer essentials.
Check it out!
Makeup of the Week: I got you set up for summer on the cheap, with some of my favorite e.l.f products!
e.l.f. Long Lasting Lustrous Eye Shadow in Soiree, $3These long wearing eye shadows are pretty much the only ones by e.l.f that I like. They have a kind of clay like consistency and are very pigmented and shiny. They don’t last as long as the L’Oreal Infallible or ColourPop eye shadows, but for $3 and some primer- you can go a long way with this.
e.l.f. Blush Palette in Light, $6
Swatch:
I think this blush quad is perfect for traveling because you get 4 different colors and a mirror for $6. If you break it while traveling, you’re not out a ton of money and it’s convenient to take with you.
The blushes themselves are all very pigmented and apply smoothly with the exception of the light pink one, which I found to be a bit chalky. But I think the other three are perfect summer colors and blend out really well.
e.l.f Studio Lip Balm SPF 15, $3This is my cheapo answer to Fresh’s Sugar Lip Treatment. These SPF lip balms have a nice subtle color that can be built up, they’re smooth and comfortable to wear, and they have SPF. Perfect for summer, and you’re only spending $3 as opposed to $23 for Fresh’s.
Beer of the Day: SanTan’s Mr. Pineapple Ale
I loveeeeeeee this beer. I could drink this beer allllllll summer. But I will not because I am a productive adult.
However, for the 4th of July, this is my go-to beer. It’s light, summery, and it tastes like pineapples. The six pack I just got this summer, is specifically pineapple-y this year. Like I think they may have tweaked the recipe this year to get more of that fruity, sweet flavor. Even with the tropical fruit notes, this is not too sweet of a beer. The wheat notes keep it more refreshing and light, and I think anyone could enjoy this beer. Seriously, I have yet to meet a person who was not a fan of Mr. Pineapple. He is everyone’s friend.
That’s it for today, friends! Happy 4th of July if you are an American, and Happy Weekend, if not!
I’ll see you soon, I’m just going to enjoy this Mr. Pinapple in a kiddie pool in my backyard first!
Love,
Rebs!
